Thermal transfer with ribbon

The Z-Select 2000T is printed using thermal transfer technology. In this process, the printhead heats a ribbon, transferring the ink from the ribbon onto the label. You therefore do require a thermal transfer ribbon.

The advantage of this is a sharp and more durable print, for example for:

Zebra recommends various ribbons from the 2100, 2300, and 3200 series, among others, depending on the desired print quality and resistance.

Premium coated paper

Z-Select 2000T is a smooth, white, and coated thermal transfer paper. The protective coating provides higher print quality than a standard uncoated paper label and helps with clearly printing small characters and barcodes.

Furthermore, the coating offers extra protection against, among other things, light exposure to moisture and oil. This makes these labels interesting when print quality and legibility are more important than with a simple standard paper label.

Permanent adhesive (acrylic)

The labels are equipped with a permanent acrylic adhesive. This glue is intended for applications where the label must remain firmly in place on many common surfaces after application. This makes these labels suitable for use on cardboard boxes, product packaging, warehouse bins, and many smooth plastic and paper surfaces, for example.

The permanent adhesive is especially practical for product, warehouse, and logistics applications where the label is not intended to be easily removed later.

Perforation between labels

An important feature of the 800630-205 is the perforation between the labels. This allows you to easily tear off a printed label, including its backing, from the rest of the roll.

This is convenient when labels are printed first and then distributed across various products, boxes, or workstations.

The printer uses the space between the individual labels for label detection.

For midrange and industrial printers

Due to the 76.2 mm core and approx. 200 mm outer diameter, this is an industrial version. The roll size falls within the physical media specifications of Zebra printers such as the ZT231 and similar 4-inch midrange and industrial thermal transfer printers.
