Z-Perform 1000D is Zebra's standard uncoated direct thermal paper quality. The material is developed for general applications where a clear barcode or text is needed, but no extra protective coating is required.
Zebra mentions shipping, goods receipt, and product identification as suitable applications, among others. The material is primarily intended for indoor use.
Because the paper is uncoated, it offers less protection against moisture and other environmental factors than a top-coated label. Zebra therefore does not recommend Z-Perform 1000D for applications where the label is regularly or long-term exposed to moisture.
For normal indoor warehouse, production, and logistics applications, it is a practical standard quality.
