Datalogic GFS4520: compact fixed 1D/2D scanner

The Datalogic Gryphon GFS4520-BKK1-RED is a compact and reliable barcode scanner for fixed mounting. The scanner is ideal for integration into kiosks, access control systems, ticket machines, self-checkout kiosks, production lines, and other applications where limited installation space is available.

The GFS4520 reads virtually all common 1D and 2D barcodes. Codes can be scanned from both paper and the screens of smartphones or tablets. Thanks to its USB connection, the scanner is easy to connect and is powered directly via USB.

Fast and accurate scanning

The built-in megapixel imager has a resolution of 1280 × 800 pixels and processes up to 60 frames per second. This ensures that even moving, small, or poorly positioned barcodes are recognized quickly.

The omnidirectional scanning technology makes it possible to present barcodes from virtually any angle. The scanner supports, among others, Code 39, Code 128, EAN, UPC, GS1 DataBar, QR Code, Data Matrix, Aztec, MaxiCode, Micro QR, PDF417, DotCode, and various postal codes.

Red illumination and clear scan confirmation

This RED version uses red LED illumination. The blue "Blue Dot" aimer helps with precise positioning of the barcode.

After a successful scan, the GFS4520 provides clear feedback via Datalogic Green Spot technology, a highly visible LED indicator, and an adjustable sound signal. This allows the user to see and hear immediately whether the barcode has been read correctly.

Designed for professional use

The Datalogic GFS4520 features a robust IP54 housing that provides protection against dust and splashes. The scanner is resistant to vibrations and repeated drops of up to 1.5 meters onto concrete.

The housing is also suitable for regular cleaning with common disinfectant agents. This allows the scanner to be used in retail, hospitality, healthcare, industry, logistics, and public spaces, among other environments.

Automatic scanning

The integrated object detection activates the scanner automatically as soon as a barcode is presented. In addition, the GFS4520 can be activated via software, an external connection, or a manual command. This offers great flexibility when integrating the scanner into existing systems.
